    Free Mac App: Witch

    February 24, 2008 // 485No Comments »http%3A%2F%2Flifeasmission.com%2Fblog%2F2008%2F02%2Ffree-mac-app-witch%2FFree+Mac+App%3A+Witch2008-02-24+23%3A46%3A13JR+Rozkohttp%3A%2F%2Flifeasmission.com%2Fblog%2F2008%2F02%2F24%2Ffree-mac-app-witch%2F

For the longest time I have hoped to find something for my MacBook that would enable me to command+tab (or in this case alt+tab) to minimized windows and applications. Today I found Witch!

Witch is a free utility that adds a preference pane to system utilities and then gives you a highly customizable interface to decide on how you’d like to switch to applications and windows. It’s main 2 “selling” points are that it lets you switch not just to a different application, but to different windows you have open for the same application (something the current keystroke switcher for the mac os lacks), and then also the option to switch to a minimized application/window (another current lack).

Hope someone other there finds this as useful as me.

I don’t know if we can trust a 100% of this, but even if it’s close, the implications are huge. What an amazing time to be living in – full of opportunity and responsibility. Any thoughts on the missional significance of this stuff for the church in Western culture?

wii Does this seem like a fair trade to you? coffin

A woman died today because of her participation in a contest for a Wii game system. I think it’s safe to say that consumerism has officially become a problem. See the news article here.

iphoneApple announced and unveiled the new iphone today. It is absolutely amazing! After having a MacBook for half a year now, I can’t imagine ever going back to a pc and I am constantly impressed and amazed at the superior quality and advanced technology of stuff Apple rolls out. You can check out all the details of the iphone here. It’s gonna be pricey at first, but I don’t expect that to last long. I have been more than happy with my Treo 650 and I am not gonna run out and get an iphone, I just think it is amazing when this thing can do.

    2 megapixel camera

4 or 8 gigs of memory for audio

integration with ical, address book, etc.
    google maps

    a full multi-sensory touch screen

safari as a built in web browser and on and on it goes. Just check it out!

    Wanna Be My Professor?

    September 19, 2005 // 814 Comments »http%3A%2F%2Flifeasmission.com%2Fblog%2F2005%2F09%2Fwanna-be-my-professor%2FWanna+Be+My+Professor%3F2005-09-19+13%3A32%3A00JR+Rozkohttp%3A%2F%2Flifeasmission.com%2Fblog%2F%3Fp%3D81

I just discovered 2 really cool programs. One is called Rapid Share and the other is You Send It. Both of them are free file uploading programs. With Rapid Share you can upload as many files as you want as long as they are under 50 mb each. Plus, they will host them forever unless no one downloads them within 30 days. They give you a link and then you can share your files with your friends. With You Send It you can do the same thing with a file up to 1 GB, but they won’t keep it as long, a week I think. Either way, 2 good ways to share stuff back and forth without huge attachments or making cd’s and stuff.

Anyway, you will notice that on the sidebar of my blog I have posted a bunch of stuff that I have written in the last year. Feel free to take a gander at anything that may interest you. You can even play the professor role and rip me to shreds and dole out grades as you see fit – talk about power!

I also added a section called “Blogger Buddies” with links to other friends with blog sites that you might want to check out. Please let me know if you have a blog site that I don’t know about (if it’s not on there I don’t know about it). I’d love to throw up a link. I’d also like to encourage those of you who don’t have a blog to really consider doing one. I just can’t tell you how great it can be (for you and others) to jot down your thoughts on life, not to mention having the ability to share pictures and stuff like that. Obviously, blogging could never replace the value of good old fashioned community, talking and living face to face, but I have found it to be a great enhancement.

Toward a Missional Vision of Theological Education

One of my main areas of interest is the shaping of a missional paradigm of theological education in Post-Christendom. To that end I wrote a series of 9 posts on the subject that have become foundational for work that I am continuing to do in the current context of seminary education.
