Every so often they put together a bundle of applications that would normally run you lots of money and offer them really inexpensively. This time around they are offering over $600 worth of (12) apps for $$40. Some of them you may never use, but if there are even a few that you will, you’ll probably make out like a bandit. To make it even a bit better, 25% of all the sales go to a charity that you can choose from a list. If you use this link, and decide to buy, it will help me get a few more for free, enjoy!

iChat is a pretty sweet deal for instant messaging. And if you want to do audio or video chat, it’s still the way to go. But if text chatting is your deal, then Adium is what you want.

Aside from already being able to connect to all your AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Google, Skype, and other contacts through one application, they just added Facebook support in the latest beta release.

The other thing I really like is how much you can customize the look and feel of the contact list and messaging windows. This is what I am looking at on my screen…

See that little deal, yeah, that’s all I the screen space it has to use up!

When you throw in a little Growl support (pop-up notifications) on top of that, it is a really, really great application.

Dockdrop – this is a little thing that sits in your doc and when you drop a file or files on it, it uploads them to either an FTP site or flickr and then immeditely puts the URL to that file on your clipboard for easy sharing

FLV2iTunes – another little thing that sits in your dock and when you drop a flv file on it, it gets converted to an mp4 and added to itunes, which is great when you use the next thing

DownloadHelper – a firefox extension that will save youtube an other embedded videos as flv files

PandoraBoy – Pandora is a sweet way to get introduced to and share new music with people, this will let you run Pandora w/o having a browser open

FacebookSync – this little deal will import a bunch of stuff, pics, etc., from your Facebook friend list into your Address Book.

PhotoBook – this is a handy-dandy (though pretty tough on system resources) little deal for perusing Facebook photo albums, looks like iphoto.

Enjoy!

That way, you don’t have to remember to come back or feel bad when you ask me (for the umteenth – is that how you spell that- time), “What’s your blog address again?” This way, you just get an email whenever I update the blog. If you decide to subscribe this way, you will get a verification email. If you don’t see it check your spam folder, sometimes it doesn’t make it through. Using the RSS feed is also an option if you are into using a feed reader like Google Reader.

You’re welcome!

And all my Mac brethren out there, stay tuned… I have been working on a post listing all my favorite little free mac apps that make my e-life easier and better!
