Summer is here, our 1 year wedding anniversary is right around the corner and we’ve got some exciting stuff coming up.  If you didn’t already get our every-other-month newsletter via email, you can download it here.  Leave a comment in you’d like to receive our newsletter directly.

Probably the biggest deal is a once in a lifetime opportunity we are planning to take advantage of with the help of some family and friends who are willing to support us.

This coming October, the Lausanne Movement will be hosting its 3rd Congress on World Evangelization.  The Lausanne Movement, if you’re not familiar is

A worldwide movement that mobilizes evangelical leaders to collaborate for world evangelization.

Here’s a 3 minute clip on the history of the Lausanne Movement.

If that wasn’t a big enough deal, for the first time in history, there will be delegates of leaders from the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the church in China.

Attendance at the Congress is by invitation only and there are only a certain number of invitations to be had per country and my wife, Amy, has been invited as 1 of only 400 delegates from the entire United States!!

Here’s Amy and I talking about this opportunity and asking for your help.

We would be honored if you would make this dream a reality by helping us meet our financial goals.  You can give through this website.  Just be sure to mention ROZKO and LAUSANNE somewhere in the designation field.  As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

    Rozko Update | Feb., 2010

    February 16, 2010 // 16761 Comment »http%3A%2F%2Flifeasmission.com%2Fblog%2F2010%2F02%2Frozko-update-feb-2010%2FRozko+Update+%7C+Feb.%2C+20102010-02-17+03%3A08%3A12JR+Rozkohttp%3A%2F%2Flifeasmission.com%2Fblog%2F%3Fp%3D1676

Amy and I are both networkers through and through.  Each of us has enjoyed cultivating networks and communities of friends in the various places we have lived across the US and abroad.  These are people who have helped, encouraged, shaped, and loved us.  Because we want to do what we can to stay in touch with these people (you?), we’ve decided to compile a 1-page letter about every other month that highlights what’s been going on, what’s coming up, matters in which we hope you will rejoice with us, and others in which we hope you will support us in prayer.

We got our first one out in the last few days.  If you didn’t receive it, there are 2 possible reasons.

    1) We had no idea you might be interested in receiving it.

    2) We tried to send it to you, but must have had the wrong email address.

In either case, if you didn’t receive our letter and would like to, leave a comment or drop us an email via the contact page and we will add you to the list of folks that we email these letters to.

Thanks for continuing to allow us to share our lives with our – nothing means more.  We’re also hopeful that this might be a pathway to more of you sharing what is going on in your lives as well.

Click the image below to download our first letter.

Toward a Missional Vision of Theological Education

One of my main areas of interest is the shaping of a missional paradigm of theological education in Post-Christendom. To that end I wrote a series of 9 posts on the subject that have become foundational for work that I am continuing to do in the current context of seminary education.

  1. Preliminary Thoughts
  2. The Root of the Problem
  3. The Fruit of the Problem
  4. New Soil
