My wife and I were at the Missional Commons in Fort Wayne and we were talking to Amy and I now remember her saying that you were her adviser. Wonderful and great job JR!

Accurate indeed. I worked for the MAGL for a year and my wife is an MAGL grad! Guess who her advisor was? ;) I think the MAGL is one of the best programs happening in the world of evangelical seminary education - I am constantly referring people to it.

Hey JR, I haven't started at Asbury yet. I will, Lord willing, in the fall. Whenever I meet any Master's level students or other people that would (or could in the future) qualify for this degree, I will for sure pass along this option to them. Fuller sure has amazing resources and seems to have attracted many people to their MA in Missional Global Leadership (am I accurate in that?). One of my pastor's is almost done of that degree at Fuller. He says that it is just the right fit for him.

Hey Jeremy, sure thing. Congrats on beginning a program at Asbury. Sorry to hear that about their DMiss. They have a host of resources that it seems like would make that degree both viable and attractive. Please pass this option along to anyone else you know that might be interested.

JR,

Thanks for sharing about the new program. Sure sounds like a great experience. I've looked at Doctor of Missiology at Fuller before and also at Trinity, SES, and a couple of other schools but I don't qualify for any of them. The reason being is that I don't have the required 4-5 years of ministry experience (have lots part-time ministry experience here and there). But recently I was accept to Asbury Theological Seminary to do a Th.M in World Mission and Evangelism. I sure it will be a slightly different education than Fuller provides.

Also, for whatever reasons, Asbury has discontinued their Doctor of Missiology degree and changed them to only a Ph.D program. Why? Not sure.

Thanks again for the info!
