I have had something like a 15 year love affair with Boston, which is strange for someone who has never actually been there, but that’s about to change. Amy and I are currently planning a long weekend in Boston and various excursions from there around New England.

So, who’s got the 411 on Boston and the surrounding area? What and where do we need to make sure to check out? What’s our best bet for scenic, yet affordable accommodations? Looking for any advice anyone wants to throw our way, thanks.

1Yea you guys will love it. Definitely check out Copley Square, where you can visit the Trinity Church and the Christian Science Center on Huntington Ave. The Boston Duck Tours is also close by, kind of touristy but worth doing.

2Thanks Dave. Any other tours that are a bit more affordable than the duck deal?

3The one cool thing about Boston that I loved is the transit system. You really don't need a car unless you want to go out of the city. I would definitely see Harvard if you can. You just feel smarter being there. ;-P Catch a Bruins or Celtics game if you can. The love affair with their sports teams is one of the best. Spend a day downtown too.

4Not sure of anything else really, I think its worth the $30 for sure if that is what they are charging. You may be able to find some cheap or even free walking tours in different parts of the city and Cambridge. Good luck, we are hoping to go back and visit sometime in November.
