A wise man once said that “godliness with contentment is great gain.” Sadly, we live in a culture which would rather have us understand contentment as a vice – something for the weak, disinterested, and apathetic. It is not.

1WOW! To me this is a beautiful photograph! Yes, I do think it very sad that those with power and wealth find it so easy to oppress the “little people.” However- in this case I see the power coming from the home owner! It is so obvious to me that everything else BUT the home is out of place. I tend to be a person who wants to go with the flow and keep everybody happy, which is not always a good thing. But this woman of courage stood up for herself in a non violent way-and therefore she speaks volumes to not only the oppressors but the oppressed- an entire population who have been considered weak, poor, and stupid. I find the picture flat out exciting! What a reality check for those who have forgotten that PEOPLE are PRICELESS and possessions are meaningless. beautiful post.
