I was with some friends (Bobby, Julie, Eve, Jessica, Amy, Clark, Clay, Cassandra, Joy, Olga) last night and we were discussing the best romantic comedies of all time. I of course won by letting everyone know that the best romantic comedy of all time is, as we all know, “Say Anything.” It wins for more reasons that I can possibly detail here, but chief among them is this classic scene.
Though I am thinking this one might have done the job as well - what do you think?

The greatest romantic comedy of all time is Alien vs. Predator, hands down.

Indeed - I stand corrected.

OK, in fairness, Say anything is a good movie that did inspire Julie and My “song”, although the best scene is actually the scene where he meets her dad over dinner and discusses his future ambitions. “” A career? I’ve thought about this quite a bit sir and I would have to say considering what’s waiting out there for me, I don’t want to sell anything, buy anything or process anything as a career. I dont want to sell anything bought or processed or buy anything sold or processed or repair anything sold, bought or processed as a career. I dont want to do that. My father’s in the army. He wants me to join, but I can’t work for that corporation, (best line ever) so what I’ve been doing lately is kick-boxing, which is a new sport…as far as career longevity, I dont really know. I cant figure it all out tonight, sir, so I’m just gonna hang with your daughter.”

And his name is lloyd. Double “L” = good.
However, outside of Die Hard, the best romantic comedy must be “You’ve got Mail”, cute, good story, great and believable actors, Dave Chappelle, very subtly funny and a perfect display of ‘the game’.

Dude… did you do that from memory? If so, I worship you on a whole new level. If not, I worship you on a normal level still. Yeah, that’s a killer scene, no doubt, but hey, it didn’t sell posters. I award you the status of merit for making a compelling case for “You’ve Got Mail.”
