Am I late comer or what?? Why have I not heard of this guy? Saw this video over on Bob’s blog and I have never wanted to be any other musician more in my life…

Yeah, I couldn’t make it past the first couple of minutes, sorry. Not my thang. But, I didn’t know you read Bob Hyatt, too! Portland was one of our moving options, and I wanted to go there just to go to his church. I think it might be my “dream church.” =)
Are you kidding me?? Holy cow – Emily, how is that possible. Yeah, I read Bob. Or, I should say, I try to read Bob. I don’t know how the guy does it – he is forever blogging. Any yes, when I dreamed of moving my life off to Portland, I think I too would have been excited to be a part of what is happening at Evergreen. But hey, Seattle is plenty good too!
Hey Brittian – thanks for stopping by. Bob helps to lead a community in Portland called the Evergreen community (http://www.evergreenlife.org/). He and I have never met – just connected via blogosphere so far, but based on what he writes and the sort of community that Evergreen is trying to be, it is a place I would be interested in trying to connect if I was there. Checked out your blog as well and think what you are a part of is pretty great as well. We are just getting some folks interested in the idea of intentional community down here in Memphis – a place that could really use it on both urban and suburban fronts. Peace.
I would say that you are not late in just hearing of that dude because I haven’t either, however, you usually catch new musack before I do anyway. The dude was pretty good, but not totally new, lots of people have been doing that sort of trick starting with Phil Keaggy. It was pretty creative use of external instrumentation in the beginning.
And he has a really nice piano.
Well… today is a crazy day in the blogosphere. Never, ever, ever before have I made Rachel come to the computer to read a blog post before. Today, I read her Andrew Rudd’s post out loud, and made her watch the video… maybe not totally original, but the fact that it was all done live, and I liked the song, are quite amazing. I’m looking him up on iTunes as we speak.

I'm just an average guy trying to shape his identity around God's dream for the world and his place in it. This blog is a place for me (and you!) to reflect on and discuss all that might mean. Looking for a bit more on me? Check out the about me. Peace.
