Apparently Eric thinks I have nothing better to do (he may be right
, so he tagged me for a random meme (some kind of list of questions that you saw somewhere else and you decided to answer. Then someone else sees them and does them and so on and so on).
Here are the rules:
Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages or more. No cheating!
Find Page 123.
Find the first 5 sentences.
Post the next 3 sentences.
Tag 5 people.
Ironically, I am reading a book that Eric and some others recommended and that a special friend was thoughtful enough to get for me, The Shack by William P. Young. So, here goes…

“So then, ah, could you please pass me a bit more of those greens? So, then we’ve seduced into this preoccupation with authority?”
“In a sense, yes!” responded Papa [God], passing Mack the platter of greens, but not letting go until he pulled twice. “I’m just looking out for you, son.”
Sayru [the Holy Spirit] continued, “When you choose independence over relationship, you become a danger to each other.
BONUS MATERIAL (sentences 6 & 7) – Others became objects to be manipulated or managed for your own happiness. Authority, as you usually think of it, is merely the excuse the strong use to make others conform to what they want.”
I gotta say, I think Eugene went a bit overboard with his endorsement on the bottom of the front page, but it’s certainly worth a read.
Oh yeah, I tag…

3I don’t know what a meme is, and I’m only familiar with tag games where if you get tagged you run inside screaming "I’m not playing!"
So, I’m afraid I might not be of much use, unless someone can tell me what a meme is…

4The definition is in the post - some kind of list of questions that you saw somewhere else and you decided to answer. Then someone else sees them and does them and so on and so on. It’s like one of those email forward things, only by way of blog and not dumb… not at all!
