  • New Theme for a New Year

    January 5th, 2008 · 3 Comments · blogging

Perhaps unbeknownst to the 67! of you who read this blog through a feed reader, I decided to switch my theme up the other day.  Cleaker by Adam Cleaveland has been good to me and I recommend the theme to you, but I was feeling the need for a fresh look.

There’s still 2 sidebars and I haven’t changed up the content much yet, but hopefully I’ll be tweaking here and there as we go along.  For those of you who don’t actually click through to the site all that much, I thought I’d just let you know what you might find there if you did.

In my header are links to archives of previous posts, an about me page including a resume and CV (yes, looking for a job), a selection of articles and blog posts that have come through my feed reader and that I have marked as “Shared” because I think they’re worth some attention, options to subscribe, a selection of audio clips that some might find worthwhile, a “goodies” section with all my delicious tags and papers, and to my flickr page with all sorts of photo albums.

In my sidebars are also a list of the categories I have written under, my most recent “favorited” YouTube videos, a random selection of books that I love to be able to loan out, a search option, and a few other links to sites I am affiliated with.  So, just in case any of this stuff interests you, there ya have it.

By the way, I do hope that I will soon be able to return to regular blogging especially about issues of the Kingdom of God (be sure to check this out by the way), missional church/theology, and other theological issues – blogging on this stuff has been sparse since my return to Canton, but it’s not because I have stopped thinking about this stuff.  On the contrary, on account of the context and culture, it’s all taken on new significance.  Peace.

I like the new theme, I just got down finally putting my personal blog over on Wordpress with a new theme. Have had to customize the snot out of it.

Loved seeing the pictures from the Malone Thanksgiving, been a long time since I have seen all you guys. Those pictures bring back all sorts of memories.

My family and I (all 5 of us) are back in Canton the 25th – 29th, maybe we could connect for coffee or something.

Hey Tony, yeah, I saw your new theme – killer, may have to hit you up for some pointers some time.  Sadly, I will be out of tow on those exact dates so I’ll miss you guys.  But, I am sure there are plenty of other folks that would love to know you’ll be around.  I’ll try to spread the word.

The theme is called, "the morning after" – and it actually has a whole support forum/community for it. And it is free, there is a widget version coming the end of Jan with the new release of Wordpress 2.4 – so that will make things way easier in terms of customization.
