I think the way we speak about Scripture, justice, church and salvation, and the way we practice preaching, community and sanctification as communities has everything to do with the way the Spirit shapes us as people.

David Fitch said that on a blog post I read the other day.  I felt compelled to pass it on as I am afraid it’s something that many might say that agree with, but I am not sure most of us are so firmly convicted of it that we invest enough time and energy to tease out the implications (perhaps it would come at too great a cost??).  Anyways, it’s something he and Alan Hirsch will be speaking about at a conference in February in DC.  The conference is being put on by Ecclesia, a group 2 of my friends, Todd Hiestand and JR Woodward have helped put together (hope I can make it guys!)
