    July 18, 2007

    This is one of those “better late than never posts.”

    Back on June 28 emerging scholar and good friend, Wess Daniels, tagged me as a “thinking blogger,” (thanks Wess) and I am supposed to tag 5 other bloggers who make me think in return.

    Here are my top 5.

    Shane Hipps – I’ve only spoken with Shane a few times as out time at Fuller just barely overlapped, but he’s someone you really ought to pay attention to.

    David Fitch – I really enjoy the what he has to say about emerging/missional church stuff, but more than that, I am a huge fan of the fact that he’s trying to live out the stuff he talks about.

    Rick Royer – Rick is a good friend from the church where I was on staff in Ohio.  He’s the sort of guy whose sheer presence makes life seem less complicated because he’s so focsed on simply loving people.  He’s a great husband and dad and those things alone make him someone worth listening to.

    Alex Rozko – Little love for the little brother.  He’s a super cool architect dude living the high live in NYC, he’s super creative, and since he didn’t waste any brain power in high school, he’s got plenty to go around now!

    Sean Savage – Trust me, he’s good for your soul.

    If you’ve been tagged:

    1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think;
    2. Link to this post at The Thinking Blog so that people can find the exact origin of the meme;
    3. Optional: Display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award.’

    Dude, I’m kinda blown away by this and your description of me. I’m just back from Ecuador where my group spent time with the poor children of the La Comuna area of Quito. They also met the kids they sponsor through Compassion International. It seems every time I go there these kids teach me that God is greater than I ever imagined and that He is at work all over this world and that there are more forgotten, ruined, beautiful people than I ever imagined.

    Andrew just got back from 2 weeks in Peru. I will always believe that you had a positive influence in both my kids lives and I am grateful for that. Thanks Bro!
