Last Wednesday I spent 10 hours painting my new apartment. It wouldn’t have been all that bad except in the living room we have vaulted ceilings – maybe 18 feet at the highest point. I had to get over to Home Depot to rent a ladder. It was a 10 or 12 foot ladder and I had to get it in my car – not an easy fit. Thank goodness for the individual who came up with the whole folding back seat idea – and also for my dad who left bungee cords in the trunk! Anywho, you can’t tell all that much by the pictures, but it looks great and made a huge difference. We went with a kind of light coffee color on most of the walls, a light beige on the one big high wall, and a dark brown for a few pieces of furniture and the door trim. We are not accepting applications for admittance!

1Yo JR,
I really dig our apartment makeover! Thanks for busting out most of the painting…perhaps I’ll get to finishing the trip when Hebrew subsides???
See ya!

2When we moved into our new place, we painted three days straight for a total of 25 hours. The people who lived there before us painted floor to ceiling with bright orange and yellow colors. I never wanted to paint again
