Some friends (old and new) and I had the chance to play in a soccer tournament last night. I had an incredibly fun time. We were 1-2 in the tournament, but made it into the final round of games. We were bested in that game by a group of high school soccer players. Nevertheless, it was great just to get out, run around and compete. Yes, I am incredibly sore today. While I have been running very regularly for a long time now, it’s been quite a while since I was diving after shots (as a golalie), getting slammed (and slamming) into boards, and tearing the skin of my knees up on astroturf. Man all that feels good!

The people I got to play with were (L to R from back row): Kenny, Mary, Scotty, Me, Delina, Fahad, Jeff, Missy, Crystal, Stephanie. Not pictured: Adam, who had to leave right at the end due to an unfortunate male injury.
