Well, it’s October now and you know what that means – the leaves are changing color, the smell of Autumn is in the air, pumpkin pies are being baked and the air is crisp and cool. At least that’s what it’s supposed to be like! I love fall and am so going to miss it so much. I’m not complaining, it’s great out here too, just different. No real sense of change or anticipation, just life as usual.
We had our first intramural football game the other day. We were 14-0 victors. We have a pretty good team and I was elated to discover that Seminary football is just as competitive as anywhere else!
I am well into reading now. I think I’ve already logged almost a thousand pages or so. I wrote my first paper and have several more coming in the near future. I continue to meet new people and learn new things. I think I have all the free parking spots at the local hangouts nailed down. And I am discovering the cheap eateries on a regular basis. I hears there’s a mexican buffet that is free as long as you buy a drink. We’re gonna have to check that place out.
I ended up dropping my Systematic Theology class is it did not allow for any discussion or questions, just straight lecture. I picked up a Christian Ethics class that is much more interactive. I plan on taking the sys. theo. class with a different professor, maybe next quarter, who is much more fond of discussion and interaction.
I drove down to Manhattan Beach the other day to watch the sunset. It was georgeous.
I am still waiting to hear about the soccer coaching job and waiting for God to open a door to a way to be investing in others on a regular basis.
That’s really about it. Blog to ya later.
