The Move to Pasadena

Well, we’re just getting started at this blogger -web posting thing, but hopefully it will be a good way for friends and family to stay up to speed on the life of JR out here in Pasadena.

Relocating was pretty much a snap. I am all settled in an apartment and have 5 great roommates. Ryan, roomate proper, is 27 and from Austin, TX. He is a surfer dude and is starting a Marriage and Family Therapy degree. Hang is 32 and from Korea. He is really funny and starting an MDiv degree. Rob is from Columbus and just graduated from Florida State. Kenny, his roommate is from Chicago and just graduated from Loyola. They are both doing MDiv’s as well. Joy is Greek and 44. She cooks! She is a relatively new believer and has more enthusiasm and excitement that anyone had a right to. She is studying in the school on Intercultural Studies at Fuller.

We have some orientation stuff throughout this week and clases start on Monday. Really anxious to get started after more than 3 months of relaxing.

I have connected with some awesome people at Mosaic, a church out here that meets in LA and Pasadena and am looking forward to some opportunities to get involved in what they’re doing – mosaic.org if you’re interested.

I’ll write more later, but hopefully this will serve as a teaser.
